Pastors

Lead Pastor

Rev. Kendra Mohn (Email: mohn@tlcfw.org) has been at Trinity since 2010. From 2010-2016 she worked as Trinity’s Teaching Pastor; she now serves as Trinity’s Lead Pastor.

Pastor Mohn was raised on a farm near Cherokee, Iowa, where she grew up showing 4-H livestock at the fair, taking music lessons, working at the local radio station, and helping out at church. She is a graduate of Luther College in Decorah, IA (BA 1999, cello performance and communication/linguistics), the University of Pittsburgh, PA (MA 2001, historical musicology) and Luther Seminary, St. Paul, MN (MDiv 2005). She did her pastoral internship at Messiah Lutheran, Auburn, WA (2003-2004), and was ordained at Bethlehem Lutheran, Cherokee, IA, in October 2005. After graduation, she served Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Wauwatosa, WI, as Associate Pastor (2005-2009) and Interim Senior Pastor (2009-2010).

Kendra holds a PhD in Biblical Studies from Brite Divinity School at TCU. Her academic interests include the ways that gender, empire, and power intersect in the New Testament, especially the depiction of male figures in the Gospels in light of Roman constructions of masculinity. She loves teaching and learning, and likes thinking critically with others about how the church, the academy, and contemporary culture intersect. Dr. Mohn is also committed to mentoring other leaders: she has served as an internship supervisor and mentor for many studying to become pastors, and is a trained coach with the ELCA with an active coaching practice (https://www.elcacoaching.org/).

In her spare time, Pastor Mohn enjoys reading, writing, photography, travel, and cheering for the TCU Horned Frogs and Iowa State Cyclones.  She is married to Rev. Erik Gronberg, PhD, who is Bishop of the Northern Texas-Northern Louisiana Synod of the ELCA.  Kendra and Erik live in the Foster Park neighborhood of Fort Worth with their three children and rescue cat name Minerva.

Pastor Will Foster (Email: foster@tlcfw.org) was born in Winston Salem, North Carolina and grew up in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee (just outside of Nashville.  During High School, Will played in the Band (Trumpet), acted in their plays, and was active at the church.  He went to college at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green where he majored in history and broadcasting.  While there he works for WKYU-PBS as part of their student production crew where he learned videography, photography, lighting, and audio mixing.  After college he moved to back to Nashville and became a freelance videographer.

Times got challenging, so he moved home, which at that point was Frisco, Texas.  His family moved again to Middletown, New Jersey where he meet his lovely wife, Denise Foster who he married in 2013.  He also realized his passion for scripture and faith, and enrolled in Luther Seminary in St Paul, Minnesota graduating with his Masters in Divinity in 2016.  Will did his internship at Rock of the Foothills Lutheran Church in La Verne, California (just outside LA), where he first learned of Mike Breen’s 3DM Ministries.

After internship, they moved to Orlando where they worked for Disney.  Will worked as a Bus Driver and Denise at one of the restaurants in Hollywood Studios.  He was then called to Christ Trinity Parish (Somerset, Pennsylvania) in 2017 where he was ordained.  He presided at Communion for the first time on 500th Anniversary of the Reformation.

Will loves singing, acting, gaming, and being with Denise.  They have three furry children.  Rosie, a boxer mix, Oliver, an orange tabby cat, and Friday, a black cat.  He likes college football (especially North Carolina Tar Heels) and soccer.
