Dr. Laurence Furr

(Email: lfurr@tlcfw.org) is Cantor at Trinity Lutheran Church. Dr. Furr is the organist, and directs the Choraliers, Ring of Fire! Handbell Choir, Children’s Sunday School music program, and teaches music to over 125 children in Trinity Lutheran Children’s Center. Dr. Furr selects the liturgy and hymns for all services. He has been at Trinity since 1997 with a two-year absence in San Diego. He has a Bachelor’s (UTA) and Master’s (TCU) degree in Organ Performance. He was a Fulbright Scholar at the Royal Superior Conservatory of Music of Madrid, Spain–studying harpsichord. His Ph.D. (UTA) is in Humanities with an emphasis in music and art history, studying ways in which music affects culture and how culture affects music.

Laurence is a Certified Therapeutic Harp Practitioner, playing in all departments of JPS Health Network and a Certified Aromatherapist. Laurence is a native of Fort Worth and was born in the Osteopathic Hospital which was across the street from Trinity Lutheran before being torn down and replaced with Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. After moving to Tennessee for three years and two years in northern New Mexico, his family returned to Fort Worth. He is married to chef Matthew Naughton. They live in the White Lake Hills neighborhood on the east side of Fort Worth with their two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Laurence considers Santa Fe, New Mexico his spiritual home and spends time there every summer. He enjoys fine wine, traveling, hiking in the southwest, reading, and Disneyland.

Beth Gomez

(Email: finance@tlcfw.org) is Director of Finance for TLC and TLCC and works closely with our Treasurer and church leaders.  She has a comprehensive background in finance and business and over 15 years of experience specifically working for ELCA churches. Diana Smith

(Email: Diana@tlcfw.org) is the Director of Trinity Lutheran Children’s Center (TLCC). Trained as a parochial school teacher, she directs the program and staff involving over 100 children from six weeks of age through Kindergarten. Diana is a member of Trinity and serves as a Worship Assisting Minister and is on the Altar Guild.  Through the work of Diana TLCC has gained a stellar reputation in the Fort Worth community and many of the TLCC students come as word-of-mouth referrals, some from the children of students Diana had over 20 years ago.  TLCC is a major outreach ministry of our congregation.

Traci Parker

She manages our weekly church bulletins, inserts, our social posts, and emails.  She has 20+ years in Hospitality, Operations, Customer Service, Training & Education, and Creative Communication.
