FAQ

FAQ-Frequently Asked Questions

What is the schedule of worship services?
The Sunday schedule normally consists of two services at Trinity (8:30am and 10:30am). Both services are in-person.  Our 10:30am service is also streamed live on Facebook (www.facebook.com/tlcfw) and YouTube (www.youtube.com/tlcfw)

There are no regular Wednesday evening services, except during the seasons of Advent and Lent. During Lent and Advent we services at 7pm both in-person and online.

Where are your facilities located?
We are located at 3621 Tulsa Way, on the west edge of the Cultural District in Fort Worth, just south of the intersection of Camp Bowie and Montgomery. Access to the building is by steps and a ramp that leads to the courtyard. See the orange map link to the left.

What Synod are you?
Trinity Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (www.elca.org) and of the Northern Texas-Northern Louisiana (NTNL) Mission Territory (www.ntnl.org) of the ELCA.

Do you have weekly Eucharist?
All are welcome to come to the table of Grace. Trinity Lutheran Church celebrates weekly Eucharist with every Sunday morning service, both the 8:30am and the 10:30am services.

Are you liturgical in your worship style?
Trinity has a strong history of worship and follows the ancient patter of the “Ordo” (Gathering, Word, Meal, Sending). We celebrate the rich history of Lutheran worship through liturgy, hymns and new innovations. Each season of the church year (season such as Lent, Advent, Pentecost, etc…) we strive to find ways to celebrate the worship of the church in unique and appropriate ways. We have a high value on the sacraments and celebrate the Eucharist each week, and welcome all to the table. We look forward to having you join us for worship and discover how we are utilizing our traditions in innovative ways.

Will we find the sermons/messages relevant?
Preaching is a point of pride for the community at Trinity Lutheran Church as well as a point of emphasis for Pastor Mohn and Pastor Will. Our sermons are Biblically based, follow the Lutheran tradition of Law and Gospel and contain relevant teachings to assist our community in growing as disciples of Jesus Christ. We follow a lectionary of readings (RCL) that take us throughout the Bible each year, often utilizing those readings to create sermon series focusing on specific issues in the lives of our families, church and community.

What kinds of music ministries and opportunities do you offer?
The worship life of the congregation is greatly enhanced by a strong music ministry at Trinity. There is an adult vocal choir that provides a weekly anthem during the school year, a bell choir, an African maribma choir (custom made in Santa Fe, NM), and occasional guest and member instrumentalists. Our church musician, Dr. Laurence Furr, offers Musikgarten® classes (classes aimed at young children and parents to learn music together) during the week for members and non-members.

What kinds of educational ministry do you provide?
We offer a full range of educational ministry for people of all ages! Sunday School (It’s not just for kids) begins at 9:30am each Sunday between the two worship services. We encourage you to investigate our Christian Education Ministry tab to learn more about the opportunities here.

What kinds of help do you provide for Senior citizens?
A wide range of services and ministry for senior citizens are provided by the congregation through its Eldercare program: Lifeline, regular contact with seniors particularly if they have no immediate family living in the community, consultative services for individuals and families seeking alternatives for living when it is no longer possible to live alone in one’s own home, support for and from the Area Agency on Aging.
