Trinity Lutheran Church is planted in the heart of the Fort Worth Cultural District.  We are located at 3621 Tulsa Way at the corner of Montgomery Street and Camp Bowie (across from McDonalds). Congregational Life

Congregational Life is responsible for the fellowship and community building activities of Trinity Lutheran Church.  It is currently chaired by Patricia Mansfield (email address)

In this role Congregational Life provides the following services...

  1. Weekly coffee hour fellowship gatherings
  2. Wednesdays Together Meals (5:30-7:30pm each Wednesday evening, $5/person)
  3. Monthly Breakfasts for Congregational Town Hall gatherings (3rd Sunday of Month)
  4. Community Meals and Events
  5. Liaison for Wedding Receptions and Other Events (link to pdf of brochure here)

Wednesdays Together during Lent: Menu Matters

An overview of how what we eat affects our health, our neighbor, and our world. Menu Matters series is co-sponsored by Outreach & Social Concerns and Congregational Life Commissions. Weekly topics will relate to the issue of food instability (government jargon for “hunger”). Please join us for a 20-minute presentation each week, which will include film clips, skits, games, handouts, try-this-at-home ideas and, of course, a meal!

Feb 29 Mythbusters – Learn how food choices affect your health. Meal: Veggie Shawarma (it’s like an Arabic fajita, with a soy-based meat substitute), rice, salad

Mar 7 The Human Bean – A discussion of how our personal food choices affect our neighbors. Meal: Meatless Chili, cornbread, salad

Mar 14 Hard Choices – An awareness of national policies that affect our food supply. Do they help or hinder the hunger issue? Meal: A selection of two typical “food stamp” meals: Bean Burritos and Broccoli Rice Casserole

Mar 21 100-Mile Meal – Our food choices impact the environment. How can we be good stewards of God’s creation? Meal: Enchiladas, salad. All ingredients sourced from with-in a 100-mile radius of Ft. Worth

Mar 28 World Hunger: Haiti – Our actions in America can have both positive and negative effects on other countries’ food supplies. Meal: A sampling of Haitian recipes

Alternate kids’ meal: Grilled cheese sandwiches and applesauce. This will also be available each week for ANYONE who chooses not to eat the featured menu.

Cost: Adults - $5 Kids (2-10) - $2.50 TLCC Families - Free After costs, all proceeds will be donated to: Tarrant Area Food Bankand ELCA World Hunger
