September 11th Remembrances

If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord; so then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's. For to this end Christ died and lived again, so that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living. (Romans 14)

Trinity Youth Appreciated in Colorado

Many of you all know that our Trinity youth traveled to Colorado this past summer for a mission trip to Sky Ranch, an ELCA camp high in the Rockies (www.skyranchcolorado.org).  There the youth engaged in Bible study, team building, worship and ultimately a lot of hard work building a new worship site.  This past week we recieved a note from one of our counselors from the camp reflecting on our time together.  The text of that letter was also enclosed in an email from our youth director Misti Johnson.  Below I have included Misti's email and the letter text.

Chapter 4: Does God get what God Wants?

-Bell talks about church websites pulling a bait and switch (God is good, loving etc… but if you don't accept him, you go to hell) Have you had an experience like this with Church before?  How does that make you feel?

-How great is God?  If all things are possible for God, why shouldn't God get what God wants?

-Do you think God really wants to save all people? Do the scriptures point to this?

We had a great time last sunday learning about the heritage of the early church.  Through teaching, food and fun we learned about the culture and times in Ancient Greece in which the Apostle Paul and the early church lived.  Pictures of this great event are posted on Trinity's facebook page.  http://www.facebook.com/tlcfw

BTW: Trinity's Facebook page has 75 fans, lets get it 100!  Invite your friends to join our social media presence!
